Default No Running lights...keep popping fuses on '96 disco

I have checked the bulbs, fuses in truck and in the engine compartment on my 1996 disco. The bulbs are new. I first had issues with the driver side rear running lights and now both are out. And I keep popping fuses. What else should I check?

Is it wired for towing/trailer? If so, go over that wiring. I've seen some crappy DIY wiring jobs. Check all the running lights sockets. I hade to replace a few of mine they were corroded so bad

Dash lights work. It has a "uhaul" trailer harness.... I was thinking that might be the root of the problem.... hopefully not tip of the Iceburg.

I will check all the wiring sockets.

This could be and issue with the trailer Harness. Does it blow the fuse only when pulling the trailer?

When I pull my race trailer with my Chevy,I have to remove the trailer harness ground or it will blow the fuse for my reverse lights. The chevy grounds the trailer through the hitch. But when I pull the same trailer with my Daugthers Ford Excurstion the trailer ground in the harness must be connected. The Ford grounds through the harness.

Then I would say your trailer is fine but you truck has a direct short to ground find the hot that controls the reverse lights and do a continuity check to ground if you have tone then find your short! I would think that could rule it out but I am just a electrician not a mech electrician!
