Default Noise in Vent

I've started to hear a noise coming from my vents, it sounds like it's coming from behind the glove box. It only happens when I have the Air/Heat on. Also, it only happens when I have the vent power at 1-3. Any time, I go to 4 bars, or put the air on max, it goes away. I saw a post from a while back with a similar problem. Mike said that it could be leaves. I was just wondering, where exactly I would check for this, and if I don't find any leaves, what the next step would be?

Can you be a little more specific than noise? Describe the noise. Is it a chirping, grinding, what?

The noise is a high pitch tone. I wouldn't say a chirp. It' a pulsing high pitch tone that pulses at regular intervals. I heard just a while ago, turned off my heat, and like usual, it went away. I turned the heat back on, and it came back. I noticed that it did respond to acceleration. When I accelerated the noise became slightly louder, but once I put the heat on full blast the noise goes away again. I got out of my car and put my head under the glove box, and it seemed like the noise was coming from somewhere in that immediate area.

It is your HVAC fan bearings going south.
You need a new blower motor.
Run this one until it stops working then buy a used one.

Thanks, I was really hoping it was leaves, but it actually sounded more like a fan going out. I was looking in the manual, and it looks like it's located right behind the passenger toe board (i think). If this is the case it shouldn't be hard to replace, but I'll wait until the noise gets a little louder.

pull it out and drop a little oil on the shaft. Then go inside and order another one.

You can do like OKDGuy said, GM HVAC fans are notorious for this, drill a very small hole on the end where the bearing is, put in some 3-in-one oil or a few drops of motor oil and then put it all back together.
Fan will be quiet again for up to 5 million years, you can keep doing this until you get a new one, or just add oil every time it gets to noisy, up to you.
I did this to a Oldsmobile that I had, 5 years later still no noise.

P.S.-cover your "oil" hole with duct tape.
