Is it normal for water to leak inside from rear door?

Default Is it normal for water to leak inside from rear door?

I took my car for a wash and used the pressure hose. When done there was significant amount of water inside leaking from the top of the rear door.
Is this normal when pressure washing or do I need to change the seal?
I did not notice any water inside when raining.

Default i bet seal

I bet it is the seal..But depending on your pressuer washer , if you really direct the water in the door sill you will get some water..

I dont use a pressure washer to wash mine... Here' my car wash..

yes it is normal... Land Rovers do not discriminate on leaking... they allow it to happen coming in or going out.....

You might want to try to re-align your rear door. Have a friend(who is strong) hold the door when it is fully open. Loosen the hinge bolts attached to the truck have the strong man lift the door then retighten the bolts. quickly... afterwards apply beer to hand of strong man...

looks like our land rovers need tender touch and strong men, no pressure

Yep, as others said they do leak. Nothing to worry about. I think mine even leaks a bit more than others as I have the ladder on it. Big, heavy door + age + old seals = leaks. I went the strong friend route...didn't help much or at all really.

My rear door was leaking really bad from the top just as yours. The trick to fixing the leak is to readjust the door so that it is tight against the top seal.

I just loosened the top hinge of the door and had someone pull up on the door while I tightened.

I also loosened the two screws that secure the latch and moved it back a bit so that it would hold the door closer to the top seal when closed.

Thanks for the tip with adjusting the door, BTW how are things holding up with your head job and all the new parts you Installed recently?

GREAT!! I've put on about 8k miles since the rebuild and everything is still running stong with no leaks. (knock on wood)

I've had leaky rear door for 2 years, but since it's in the back I always manage to forget about it when I have the time to fix it.

Now to find a strong man with a tender touch, and 2 topless girls to get my leak fixed AND my truck washed

My rear door doesn't leak but anything that could possibly happen to a Land Rover is considered normal.
