The cardboard is just a prototype. The finished product will be made out of .00032" military spec 500lb paper. This is the real deal folks.

 

I know, I was totally kidding... Paper will be MUCH better. It will really mess with their heads!

Actually, the idea is really cool, good luck with the build. In some states, that will make carrying a hand gun legal. Unloaded, of course.

 

Just got the prototype back, jerks made it out of metal instead of balsa wood like I asked. These are going to be way too easy to break into! As per usual our machinist did a great job. It's not finished though, need to adjust size for fitment.
