Default a note of thanks to all of you

Just a note to say thanks to all of you for all of the advice. I truly am a "noob" at this stuff, in spite of owning the LR Discovery for a few years now. My wife and I bought it used as a unique alternative to a more commercially mainstream SUV, and found myself in over my head almost instantly. (A couple of needlessly big-buck repairs at the local LR dealer---that i could have easily done myself---- woke me up in a hurry.) I assumed that I could treat this vehicle like a Honda Pilot: some oil changes and tire rotations and an occasional tranny flush and we're good to go... as a result, I'm far behind in the maintenance schedule, but I'm whittling away at it. I haven't done much when compared to many contributors on this forum, but I've learned a ton already, and saved a lot of money.
I know many of my questions make me sound like a total dweeb, compared to many of you who tear apart these engines for fun. Just roll your eyes and bear with me, I guess. I'm still finding my way with a lot of this stuff, and I'm learning as I go. But I couldn't do any of it without this forum, or you folks.
Again, thanks.
Kurt

Kurt.... Take a deep breath.... your not a Noob.... We are the Noobs as we bought these piles of crap and beat our self silly trying to show the world we are ......i don't know...... "retarded seems to come to mind".... These truck where designed for rich people with disposable incomes... not broke dick idiots like most of us.... rich people don't sweet it when the bill comes in ...poor people do.... as for all the bitching you see on the forums...poor broke dick whinny creatures.... So Enjoy the 80 % misery for the 20% enjoyment of owning a land rover....That is if you are broke like me.....
