o2 sensor remplacement
I need help
I have a land rover discovery 1999 car does not pass emissions because it has the light check engine on, my mechanic told me I had to change the oxygen sensor bank 1, my surprise is that the connector of the sensors were cut , buy new sensors, but not the order of colors or voltages of each wire to place them correctly because it has the plug
The sensor has four wires, black, gray, and two white, but not how to connect them properly

Buy Sensors that are meant for your truck. They will have plugs that fit in directly with the plug on the truck. Are you trying to wire new sensors on? mistake.
I would also check all 4 sensors to see if any others have been cut. The fact that they've been cut is a worry to begin with. Why would someone do that?

I doubt he'd have cut them before the plugs (mostly because that would be incredibly difficult and someone who did that probably comes down on the lazy side of things).
Can you see the plugs and pull the old ones out? They are really high up and astoundingly hard to unplug (experience talking).
And then yes, buy the right sensors and plug them in.
