Default O2 sensor wiring

Need to re wire my two front O2 sensor to the plug. (2000 Disco II) I figure the two white wires (tinned) off the O2 sensor are interchangeable, but the black and gray wires gold plated are specific. The wires off the harness are not gray and black so does anyone know which color wire the black and gray leads go to? Any help would be appreciated.

2 people on the same day trying to save a few bucks? Why are you replacing them, by fault code #, what is the mileage on your truck and how come you are not replacing all 4 if you are around 100,000 miles?

okay twmj1953,i figured it out.the black wire on your old o2 harness is the signal wire, the grey is the ground, and the two whites are the heater wires.
