Default OBD gauge to monitor the coolant temp

Can someone recommend an OBD gauge to monitor the coolant temp? Where can I purchase a cheap effective reader?

UltraGuage or UltraGuage Blue... they are somewhat cheap but well worth the money spent on them.

ScanGauge II is another good unit & it mounts cleanly under the blank plate/dash cup holder.

I bought a $15 Amazon kitbest WiFi dongle and the $10 OBD Fusion App. I like the setup a lot however there are limitations. It's also important to know that iPhones require a WiFi dongle, Andriod works over bluetooth. It looks like Ultragauge supports either but others may not.

Anyway, I laid out a few dashboard pages with gauges that are important to me however the gauges don't display anything when connected. For example oil temp, fuel pressure and fuel remaining (gal) are things I'd like to know and I can set the software up to display these value by selecting the appropriate PIDs however the displays never receive input data. Is this a limitation of the GEMS ECU and what it will spit out to the software? Essentially what I have is a glorified temp gauge which is fine for the $25 price of admission, as I'm not interested in fuel economy, RPM, or MPH etc. but with that in mind I think the alarm feature of the Ultragauge Blue is still worth the extra $65 for the dongle if that's really what we're limited to. Am I configuring this thing wrong to display the other values or will none of the software packages work to do that because the ECU is incompatible?

I do well with a cheap wifi dongle, DashCommand and an old iPhone touch. Reads all the variables including temp like a charm.

Fallstaff, do you get the three I listed; gallons, oil temp and fuel pressure?

Fuel yes, not sure about oil temp, but if there’s a sensor then it seems to be possible to make a gauge to monitor it. I’ve used it for various troubleshooting problems and you can make custom gauges for any data (or graphs, or whatever else you might want).
Fuel stuff is done by programming it when you fill up (put in cost and volume) and such... never really got it to be useful. But can be done.

Good point. I don't remember seeing an oil temp or fuel pressure sensor in the electrical diagrams so that's not ever going to work. There is a trans temp sensor because it light the dash light when too hot. That might be good to search for. Not sure why I can't get remaining gallons to work. Thanks for the reply.
