Default OBD2 Reader Tool

Anyone knows a decent OBD2 scanner for Discovery 2?

After reading 100's of posts here. I think it's safe to assume that I need 2 scanners; one for the all purpose Scanner and other ABS Amigo USB.

Any suggestion without breaking bank?

Thanks

Consider the Ultra Gauge, which can handle scanner duty (not Amigo) and also provides enchanced instruments, like coolant temp with user programmed alarm points. Search this forum for Ultra Gauge. About $70.

Are you talking about UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool ?
Can this be use on my other cars? Does this scanner/gauge clear fault codes?

Is there any way I can fix the Tres Amigo problem without buying another scanner?

Thank you

yes on other cars, but you have to reset your data. Not as quick change as a conventional scanner, but twice as many features.

Amigo is probably the lowest price tool for the 3 Amigos.

Pretty much so, they are great to look at and maybe show you operating temp or fuel economy, which is never accurate, but when it is time to get some real help, a mid line scanner can give you so much more information and help when trouble shooting an issue.

Thanks Mike. We have freezing cold here now. So the Disco will sit in the Garage for few more days before I finish my tune up.

I have to look for ABS Amigo next. I will see if someone wants to sell theirs. I think I will order one of those Mid level OBD scanner

I don't see that the 3110 will read live data, which is unfortunate. The auto parts store I work at sells Innova scan tools, as well as rents one (I don't remember model numbers) but NONE of the models we carry at our store are capable of reading live data, which would be really useful for something like checking the coolant temperature.
