Will higher octane work better for a high mileage disco? Specifically 91 or 95 octane on a 171+ mile baby. Whats the difference between em anyways?

I dont really know, people say use higher. So i go 91 and 2 bottles of octane boost. While i'm here, what is the best octane boost to use. On my routes dont have the most places that sell higher than 91

Octane what you want is the highest for the elevation you are at.

At sea level (900ft) I can get 93 but as I increase elevation the octane goes down,, it has to do with the air that the motor has to use, the higher you go the less air there is.

Octane boosters are good if you get the right kind.
Octane boosters will say they increase octane by say 10 points that means that a 90 octane fuel will go to 91, every 10 points of booster = 1 octane in the fuel.

Yes, 91 octone will help but only after the do a full tune up, a set af Magnecor 8 mm wires a crank case flush and most importantly an induction cleaning.
The biggest plus for the older D1's is you can stop building up carbon on your vavlve stems.

Well, you were supposed to be using premium gas the whole time.
And if you were using regular and then adding octane booster to get premium results...not only did it not work you spent just as much as if you had bought a tank of premium.
Your trk has a MINIMUM octane rating of 91. That means nothing less than 91 octane gas should ever go into the gas tank.
By switching to premium you will get better MPG.
