Red face odd click noise

Have an interesting noise on my 2003 Disco II.

The engine is on, the vehicle is in park, the handbrake is engaged.
When I press the brake pedal and I can hear and feel a click under the gear shift panel in the centre consol.

Anyone have any idea what this is?
And, is it normal?
I do not recall hearing it before.

Do I need to replace something?
If yes, what?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Put it in neutral and see if it does the same thing.
But if it is coming from the center console then it sounds like your neutral safety switch is being funky.

That is your shift solenoid releaseing to allow you to shift out of park, Normal.
