I don't remember the exact resistor values, they were in range of a few kilo ohms. You can get resistors for cheap on ebay. The LED housing contains a resistor already, either you add one in series or replace the existing. It is not as hard as long you have a soldering iron and some solder.
Resistors, something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/300PCS-1-4W...s/363006961287
I used these LEDs:
Cluster illumination: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...mens/3308/877/
High beam indicator: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/miniature-and-subminiature-bulbs/pc74-led-bulb-high-power-instrument-panel-led/709/974/ (needs a higher value series resistor, otherwise too bright)
Odometer backlight: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...l-led-car/223/ (needs a higher value series resistor, otherwise too bright)
Everything else in the instrument cluster is LED already.
Note: some LEDs might not have a protection against wrong polarization, so you have to find out which side is ground. The polarization of the LED can be found out with a cheap multimeter in ohm range.

For climate I soldered wired LEDs, since I had to mess around with the series resistor anyway. They won't break in the next decades, the stock LEDs in the instrument cluster are soldered onto the PCB too. Use quality LEDs from a good souce like Mouser, Digikey, not generic from ebay.
For the clock you can use this one I believe: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-car/223/1036/
