Imin 2 mind whetheryou "need"a lift, but a steering guard is probably THE most important thing to add if you go offroad, if you don't, you WILL at some point bend your steering linkage.

ARB lockers in the front and rear with some lower gearing sounds like the ultimate setup to me.

You need to put your trk through its paces first. You need to see what you need. And you dont need much. Steering guard is about it. Everything else is tucked inside the frame, and the diffs and axles are strong and can take a beating.

I'd relocate the air pump if you have one, it's just asking to be torn off.

I agree a good test run is needed. My Disco wont see much of the rough stuff I dont want to dent it all up. I have a Pathfinder for that and it can pull 9000lbs from the front. Hope the picture comes out.

Afraid of dents in your LR? What are you mad? LR's were ment to have dents and scatches, thats why there are made from aluminum.

ORIGINAL: 04disco

Headed to some very remote lakes in Colorado with 3-4 foot rock steps and high creek crossings.
Do you live in Colorado?
What tires are you running, are you planning to go to lockers, axles, how tall a lift?

3 to 4 feet rock ledges ???? IMO you have the wrong truck !!! You'll rip your rear overhang in your first descent. Your disco would need a lot of mods to be ready for such trails. And doing this to a 2004 is your prerogative, but I sure as heck wouldn't attempt it. Sell it and get an H1.
