I didn't get to Pep Boys yet, but I went to 4 Wheel Parts and hell they can't get rover wheels! They tried to sell me ALL TERRAINS. If I wanted ALL TERRAINS I would have asked for them wouldn't I ? All this mail order crap is damn frustrating. I can go down and get stuff for my Land Cruiser with no problem, but this Land Rover is getting to be a real hassle.

"Just can't get tires for that kind of vehicle"

"We just don't have a line on wheels for your vehicle"

"There is no way we can get Mud Terrains for your vehicle"

"Why don't we just order you up a lift kit, and then put some nice All Terrains on it?"

I am so tired of these comments, and tired of excuses. I have Land Rover magazines at home with every page filled up with Rovers that have MUD TIRES on them and I can't get a flippin lead on anything!

I understand, here in the U.S. it takes a act of Congress to get
anything for a Rover, or at least a week.
Anyplace else in the world you could get some wheels in a few hrs.
Here most people don't want to get their Rovers dirty and use them
as mini vans and you don't need M/T tires on an mini van.
We few people that do use our LR's off road know what they are for.
Once you do get setup you will like it.
Good Luck
Mike

Rover makes a good truck and parts are available, you just need to learn the ropes, I tried to tell you when you first posted. Most of the good on line suppliers can ship same day and you get the product you wanted. If you want a short list of a couple of good suppliers shout and I'll send you some for in the future.

That sounds good. Thanks guys!

I have been getting the rover mag from Atlantic for a while. I wish I had thought to order this stuff a while back, but I didn't know I would have the time to take a real vacation from work and do some wheeling. I think I am going to give them a call later today and see what I can do.

Yes that list of US suppliers would be most welcome, thanks!

If you go for steel wheels ask about the lug nuts, on Disco I's
they take a different one than the alloy ones.
I think its the same for the Disco II's.
Have Fun on Vacation.

Hers a short list that will put you into finaccial Hell.
By far the most extensive and expensive, http://www.expeditionexchange.com/
Young company and really good parts, http://www.rovertym.com/
A goo store with fail prices, http://www.roverconnection.com/
Steve is really good to work with, http://www.dap-inc.com/acc_frm.htm
You might also want to look up Atlantic British on the web, a little pricey but great stuff and a great inventory.
So, stay away from Pep Boys in the future.
Good luck,
Mike

Nope, I ended up going on my trip with the stock tires. They held up, despite putting them through some punishment off road.

I plan on getting a 2" OME lift and 16" wheels and Mud Terrain tires for it soon now since I am back.

I live in San Antonio, how about you?
