Recovery ropes, mag-lite, a couple MREs, CPS, tool kit, blanket, Schumacher Li-Ion jump starter with ability to charge phones, has a flashlite, and so far has lasted a month without being charged. I'll charge it soon as I started my Yukon a few times with it.

I dont mind mre's too much. When you mix the different parts they can taste really good. You dont often meet people that like mre's.

Extra gas.

Also, depending on the remoteness of the area...if boondocking/rough camping...like to have enough food and water for an additional four days..in case of an unexpected extended stay.

If it helpx make your list, get it together and load it all up. Then make a checklist and every time you go out review the list , if you do not use something after a couple of trips ask yourself if you really need it. In general, although it may seem obvious this does not apply to, recovery, 1st aid and basic tools.

LR D2 First Aid kit:

Tow Strap, shackles, shovel, gloves, open end wrench set, socket set, spare oil (1 to 2qt), water, air compressor, tire plug kit, and a few small 2x4 pieces (great trick on how to get unstuck using them), flash lights, small sledge hammer, and of coarse a personal first aid kit.

Now if your camping = small stove, fuel, hammock, tent, sleeping bag, fire extinguisher, food, axe, knifes, flash lights, rope, water, snacks, meals, and personally = hidden firearm that not even your spouse knows about!!! I never camp without one hidden in my pack or vehicle. I’ll take my chances with a fine vs being dead.
