I know I've already commented but I wanted to elaborate a little. I live in Carlisle (35min from LR) when not in school at Russellville (just an hr from Little Rock). I have over 220k on my 99 using rotella 15w-40 with a napa gold filter, and it runs like a top.
Both oil and filter are very affordable. I have met some guys around Little Rock that run 20w-50 year round with no issue. The napa gold filter is as good or better than the mobil1 and K&N in my book.
I'm not saying any others are wrong as it's all personal preference. Plus weather is different anywhere you go, what is good in some states may not be best for those in another. Just wanted to point out that I'm in the same area with my results all being good.

You're gonna get a million opinions, the most important thing is don't use w30 oil, because it's too thin for the temps we see in Arkansas. I'd use 5w-40, especially because winter is almost here. 15w40 and 20w-50 don't flow well at all when they're cold, which increases engine wear greatly.

NAPA, WIX, Baldwin and Purolator are better oil filters by far and at half the cost.
The K&N oil filter is a Fram, look it up.
The Mobil 1 oil filter is made for extended drain intervals, so unless you are changing your oil and filter every 15,000 miles you are wasting your money buying that oil filter.
I use Rotella 5w-40 all year, 5,000 mile oil changes and I use the oil filters that I stated above and I have 230,000 miles on my ORIGINAL engine, how many miles on your second engine Mike?
