The past 2 years I've had 2 cars a 2002 m3 and the disco and so far on both I do my oil about every 3000-3500. In the m3 I used castrol gtx and have always liked it

 

Also don't wait to check it. Mine both burn around a quart every 2500mi or so.

I think you made a good choice...In th summer you may try castrol's 20w/50 it is a good hot Arkansas summer weight.

 

These arkansas summers are big time tire killers also this past summer i drove to and from dallas about 5 times and almost need a new set! i will try that thicker oil come summer time. need this car to last me until college and during college.
