I topped off my coolant today and looked around, and it appears it is leaking from the head gasket, unless I am confused. I have attached a pic by the dipstick where I scraped off oil that looked mixed with coolant possibly.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible to torque the outside bolts of the cylinder head 90 degrees at a time or is a whole head gasket job needed?

let me be the first to say" man you take terrible pictures" .
but the oil staining that I am seeing is on the top of the exhaust manifolds,
I would suspect a valve cover gaskets leaking

Day job kept. Thanks for taking a look, and I hope you are right.

Here is a picture from the front and at the least it looks like the oil pan/sump gasket is leaking so next Oil Change I will do that. Will be my first one so looking forward to it. I am going to clean it up next weekend.

Yes, but the oil pan gasket was installed by a shop in town. I would have rather ordered the long block so it was assembled totally by Turner, but had already had a head gasket job and the cylinder heads re-decked.

So, yes it is a Turner short block, but I don't think there is any fault with the block.

I am going to get that cover off, and clean it all up next weekend. And track the oil. Most of it is very old. Also, after install they didn't use a washer for the oil plug and that is leaking, so easy fix there. Ordering today.

I was greasing the driveshaft and something is going on with it. The constant velocity unit appears damaged. Had it greased and installed and it has very few miles on it. I am past the warranty so I am probably SOL, but I will post a thread on how that goes.

I took some more pictures after cleaning up the oil pretty well, at least enough to see where new oil is coming from.

I put a washer and new oil plug on from AB, and that has stopped leaking. So we I will hope that was the volume of oil at the bottom.

I torqued the oil pan gaskets to 16ish foot pounds. i don't have the greatest torque wrench, but some were loose and needed it. I am wondering if leaking from the oil pan gasket could blow up during operation and driving. Wishful thinking maybe.

I attached some more pics, and feel good now that I have that splash guard off that I will be able to find the culprit.

Attached are some more of my famous pics. If you have any insight, ideas, or seen this type of leak before let me know.
