oil leak- what's that thingy???

hmph, not sure. it only rotates about 3/4 of a circle and runs into a part I don't see how to move. should it unscrew?

I was trying to help be looking at the adapter pics online. I'm afraid I don't know for sure how to advise.

It pulls off. If we are talking about the curved pipe that goes to the filter. Does the OP have an oil cooler? The metal hose just bare the oil filter housing threads off. It has an o ring on it that can go bad.

Which one, James? If you mean the metal tube that is an oil cooler line. Again, if yours has the oil cooler (otherwise it is a plug). I'm not sure on the size... I just grab one out of a box of o rings I got at harbor freight each time I disconnect it.

thanks Charlie. it has the oil cooler line. it looks like the leak is either coming from there or the oil filter adapter o-ring. and it's flowing pretty liberally, worst leak I've had on this rig. so far! much appreciated.

I actually have my cooler line off. It looks like this when you get it out.
