Hi All, I found one of my oil pan grommets half way out the other day after seeing a small puddle of oil. Luckily had a new one, but still not in all the way and leaking a little. Is there a trick to installing ? I thought it was due to laying in my driveway, but
have a spare oil pan and still had a hard time getting them in correctly (even having access to the backside). Also, what is actually being inspected with these.
Not grommets (a grommet is where something passes through it).
These are almost impossible to reinsert after they come out. They tend to swell a lot. I believe the inspection ports give access to the flywheel.
Several threads on this forum about these things, including the part number for replacements.

Thanks mollusc. I’ll have to get in touch with Atlantic British and have them update their description of these on their site !!
