Default Oil Problem, I think...

So I've gotten the SES light come on and stay amber light for a week or so. Checked the codes came up with p0441 (evap leak problem, purge valve), replaced my gas cap and the SES light went out. I then notice that the engine starts sounding a bit funny, put some coolant in as well as some oil, runs like a charm now! However as I pulled myself under the car I noticed that the differential as well as the driveshaft I believe, had quite a bit of oil on it. The red oil light also tends to come on at stops every so often I've notice as well. Learning this, I noticed that this had happened at the end of August, which resulted in a new oil pan. I'll try and upload some pictures as soon as I can. Any thoughts?

Oil pump, it happens a lot, your gears may be cracked and cant hold sufficient pressure and idle rpms.

Oil pressure test, there is normally a faint noise coming from the timing cover.

Ok great thanks for the advice, going to do this sometime this weekend and figure out the problem. But I'm wondering if an oil pump would be the answer to leaking oil, wouldn't it just mean that there would be oil brunt out since the pressures aren't right? Just a thought, but I'm definetely going to have a look at the oil pump, thanks again.
