Default Okay idea for a winter tire and rim?

So I need a quick fast cheap fix for the winter snow. My current tires are a death trap on the smallest amount of snow.

What are your thoughts on these BMW rims with Michelin's Pilot Alpin PA2 Performance Winter Tires. The tire is a little smaller 245/50/R18.

I could get the set for 300$

The load rating is not sufficient.

Provided they are the same PCD fixings and the centre boss is the same diameter as a D2 and also the offset is approximately the same or similar to a D2 you appear to be onto a winner. The 50 profile seems a little shallow for snow/winter tires but if the tire pressures are inflated correctly there should be no worries.

The correct load rating should be 105 to 112 depending on the tire section and construction. Also checkout the speed rating. It should be a minimum of H or above.

My tires are way above the minimum required and are 107Y for load and speed respectively.
