This is the plate on the back of the transmission. The mount goes on the rectangle with 4 holes.

Keep it coming RoverMasterTech, it really is taking shape. I love diesels .................. more reliable and low stress = less work and more miles per $$$ spent.

This looks awesome keep the details coming.
And for anyone that has not tried this and thinks it can't be done, please go fly a kite.
When do we get to here about HP and torque ad-ons for the Merc engine?

Update. It's back on the lift and going together. I cut up the rear transmission plate so I could use the stock drivers side mount to hold the transfer box. A 3rd transfer box rear mount will be fabbed up once I know what angles will work the best. The front drive shaft will JUST clear the transmission pan once everything is bolted together. The steering box is also a tight fit. The engine has tons of room between the diff and oil pan. I cut the rear mount off of the transmission only to find the mount casting is hollow, I now have a hole in my transmission I need to fix. The rover shaft came back from the machine shop and will now slide into the Mercedes drive shaft. I hope to finalize the mounts and the output shaft today. I had to delay working on it due to my wife's car eating a lifter and destroying the cam.

It's alive!!!!

I took it for a short ride around the block today.

Lots of stuff to button up still, but at least it runs and drives.
