Default OME kit installed

Well, the 10 year old SLS bags front springs and shocks have been replaced with an OME 2 inch kit from Lucky 8 Rovers. They were very helpful and shipped it to Texas in 4 days because the drivers bag was blown. I am very happey with the medium rate springs and the 3 hour install time. Next is new tires, what size is the next step up from the 255/65/16. The old suspension was so worn that I have gained 4 inches of ride height. Thanks for the information on this forum.

Have you totally shut down the SLS thru the ECU, if not you will have battery issues.

Mike,
I have not found a local shop with the correct scanner. What issues can this cause? I do have the air pump and the ride height sensors unhooked. Thanks for your help.

Well, in the mean time, pull your relay and fuse for the SLS, in the engine compartment. You will still have a warning light on but less chance of draining your battery.

Compressor disconnected, the only fuse I found for SLS is also for ABS so I left it in. I am waiting for a reply from a shop in Austin that works on jags and rover to see if they can retrain the ECU for me. When I disconnected the ride height sensors the chiming stopped so thats good. Thanks again Mike

jeffo, sorry I didnt check to see if you have a D1 or D2.

if you have a D1, you will have to do some trimming of the rear wheel well to fit the 265/75. if you don't want to trim, the 265/70 (hard to find) and 245/75 are the way to go.
