OME Spring rates.
I am debating on getting the 762 or 781 springs in the rear for lifting my Disco II. I have a winch bumper and eventually a winch up front so i think i should go with 779 in the front, but i wont have too much weight in the back. Other than camping gear for two people and a small tool chest, there is never too much weight in the back. On the chart i am looking at it says
781-Medium/Heavy Duty (unspecified)
762-Heavy Duty (220 lbs.)
763-Extra Heavy Duty (440 lbs.)
I don't think i want the 763 but anyone with any experience with any of these springs on a disco II, i would appreciate the help!

Use a 751 H.D. from a D1 for the front and a 762 in the rear with a set of D1 lower spring mounts and you will have a great set up.
The 779 won't hold up in the front and the 781 are just not enough to balance out the front to rear vehicle movement.
More questions, send me your tele number and I'll call you.
Who's shocks are you planning on using? Check out the prices at Lucky 8, best around and make sure to get a new stabilizer.

Interesting you say that about the 779's. seem to be well respected from what I have read everywhere else, each to their own tho.

I am basing it on wheeling 2 to 3 times a month, running a winch and bumper and doing trails like the Sierra's, Death Valley and Colorado where the truck is put thru some pretty extreme work outs.
My 779 dropped over an inch and a half within 3 months, replaced with 751's that now have apx 95,000 miles on them with no drop.
Pretty much depends on the type of wheeling.
