I ordered parts to fix my amigos but noticed today when putting into drive after it sat for a week it slipped before moving. Wondering if low tranny fluid would also cause it to only pull with the front wheels?

If it were too low or no tranny fluid, you wouldn't move at all. If you are truly getting only front wheel drive, that is a transfer case issue.

What makes you think that the rear wheels arent moving? Have you checked your tranny AND transfer case fluid level?

 

what year disco? does it have the cdl nipple/linkage?

 

Going to check fluids this afternoon. I went to pull my boat out of a creek that I did all last year and has no boat launch and this time only the front passenger side tire was spinning so couldn't get the boat out

So you lost traction on the front right wheel only?

I'm not sure how that indicates pulling only with the front wheels.

In any case, it sounds like your juice box is low (slipping). Fill it. If it still slips, you probably smoked the torque converter or the trans.

 

Did you lock the cdl?

 

First, don't check your fluid unless you know how, while the engine is running.
What parts are you installing for the 3 Amigos?

Ok the front right is the only tire trying to spin the others don't even try. I ordered a new Shuttle valve switch for my amigos (mine failed the above sticky test), but was also under the assumption that I would have normal 4 wheel drive but with out the traction control when the amigos where on. And I'm not scared as I'm new to Rovers what is a CDL and how do I lock it. I'm assuming it locks in the 4 wheel drive somehow. Go ahead and flog me....LOL its the only way to learn.... Thanks for the help guys!
