The only way to find a good mechanic is by refurals.
www.cartalk.com, click the "mechanix files" link, enter your zip...

Also... look around at junkyards and try to find one with discos... I got so many parts for my interior for less than 20 dollars total because I bought all the interior parts I needed at once while I was buying a radiator from the junkyard (guy looks at radiator, says 70 bucks, then thinks nothing when I show him the bag of interior parts)

Also lift up the rear carpet and look for rust

If you do get the disco, you've found the right place to get help!
The guys on here will always know what to do, it never fails!
You will fall in love with it once you get it to the perfect state.
Good luck.

Isn't the body of a Rover aluminum? I don't think you'll find rust on an aluminum body, but I could be wrong.

and junkyards

I am on a budget of 0 dollars and the only reason I can afford anything is because I made friends with the junkyard guy (he calls me the kid with the rover), so for-instance, I bought a CDL linkage/lever for 10 bucks

if you are going to be learning to do work on the car yourself, nothing is better than practicing ripping apart a junkyard disco to get the part, then knowing how to properly take apart your without breaking anything when installing it

On a DI all body panels are aluminum.
The roof is steel.
On DII's all body panels are aluminum.
The roof and doors are steel.

It's not aluminum... and I basically do not have a rear floor, so it rusts

I will be learning how to fix this when my uncle comes back up north, as he has all the tools and supplies necessary
