Default Opinions please.

I got the big roof rack on my 99 DII. Opinion I am after, I am considering offering the roof rack as trade for my truck getting repaired.

Truck ran and started fine(besides missing some due to HG failure). But after the HG job it will not crank, I can jump it and it fires but cuts right off. So some issue with the computers in it, or???????

So do you think it sounds like a good trade to offer? To someone who knows what the hell they are messing with it should not be a hard or expensive repair.

Fix it yourself with guidance on this board.
Don't get rid of your roof rack.
Well, unless you hate the roof rack.
If you have nests of wood rats in the roof rack, then you may consider getting rid of it.

Terrible deal for something that could be a misplaced plug.
Send me your number and I'll try and walk you thru what to look for on your own.

1500 dollar rack for what sounds like a minor issue disco mike can more than likely fix over a phone call. Dont do it keep your rack and take his advice. If you need cash sell your rack they are not impossible to find but i have seen people drive two states away to pick one up.

Yes, trade me your roof rack and I will fix the issue for you.

But seriously, in a day or 2 tops with regular coherent questions asked on this board I bet you can narrow the problem down for free (+cost of parts).
