Ok so I'm under my LR changing the oil and I see some orange fluid leaking from the drivers side of the block near the front. It's a 2000 disco 2 with 123k on it but I'm lost at what this could be it has no smell and not really oily, I don't think it could be break fluid or power steering fluid but I'm not sure if it could be tranny fluid or possible ac compressor oil? Anyone ever run into this before?

You have owned this truck for awhile and you can't figure out what the orange fluid is. You may want to start checking ALL your fluids and see which one is orange, once you figure it out, then get back to us.
You will find this a helpful site, but you need to do some of the work yourself. It should take you 5 minutes or less to see which fluid this is and how low it is.

 

Check your coolant

Orange = Dexcool, do not mix green coolant (ex: prestone) with orange coolant. Leaking coolant is always grounds for concern. You need to find the leak in order to figure out if you have a head gasket leak or something less expensive. Some likely places to get you started: throttle body heater plate, water pump, any of the radiator hose connections, thermostat, front and rear end of head gaskets. Once you can identify all of those things you should be well acquainted with your coolant system.

I have checked every fluid but the axles, the coolant in mine is red for some reasion? All fluids are normal..the gaskets are less than a year old from LR..the
color not matching anything u have is
what got me..guess I'll go digging when I get home

 

You would be able to smell gear oil from the axles or transfer case. Maybe it is power steering fluid with a leak additive?

 

123K..... were the head gaskets done? thing has gotta be leakin coolant

 

It is DexCool that you are leaking, it may look red in the reservoir but it is orange.
As stated DO NOT mix DexCool with non DexCool compatible coolant, it turns to jello and will clog your cooling system.
