Got my refund from programmer deposit, and received my EKA code, as promised.
Now to replace both passenger door lock actuators, and broken lock pin on drivers door(key will not unlock)
I have to manually lock and unlock passenger doors, FOB locks and unlocks the other 3.

 

The UK saves us again in our time of need. My 04 came with only one key fob as well and when I nearly lost mine down a storm water drained I called a few different locksmith shops and the minute I said its for a Land Rover the rep interrupted me and REFUSED to do anything for me! Seems if you want good parts, quality blocks or simple key fobs than you need to look to the UK!

I will be ordering a extra key fob from this company you all speak of so well. Thanks for the useful info.

I just ordered a new key fob and programmer from Roger. Wow. The man replies to emails within minutes. So far, I am very happy with the level of service he provided. Patiently awaiting my fob and programmer.

Update: Key and Fob arrived Monday Oct 5th.

I have time set aside tomorrow to Program the new key.

I look at things a little different sometimes, that said, am I understanding that I can have my own key programmer for $30 after this if I choose? Any idea if this woukd reprogram other used fobs to mate to my D2?

 

No, it will only program their key and it reads the ecm and they will email you the eka code. I tried to code a brand new unprogrammed key I had purchased from another source and did not work. On their web, somewhere they tell you it will only program their key.

PS I thought the same thing, key programmer for 30.00 would be awesome.

I have a keyfob that works. I am very pleased.

I have one gripe. I was hoping to swap the new transmitter into the original key. No go. They are two completely different transmitters. I can look past it.
