Is this original front drive shaft?

if that was replaced in 2000, you are due again.

My apologies, 2000 was a typo. It was installed on 7/23/2010. I still need to determine for sure how many miles the part has on it. I suspect many of the service records are in kilometers, as the PO had not realized the display toggles between miles and kilometers. I'll determine soon as I'm logging in the service history. Assuming I'm correct about the service record being in Km, then the part was put on at 77,358 Km. Today the vehicle has 188k Km on it, so it appears to have 111k Km or 68k miles wear.

So you can probably assume that the double cardan joints are not greaseable therefore you have a ticking time bomb. Rebuild with good joints or replace.

I just put the lucky8 shaft in my D2. Quality part and greasable. Amazing how much smoother my truck drives now. The oem shaft was about to snap.

Thanks everyone. I ordered from Lucky8 directly. Forgot to buy the new locknuts. Does anyone know the size? (I recall DiscoMike has posted this before, but unable to locate that thread at this time).
