question 1 have not heard much on plugs other than personal preference (a lot use bosch I believe) but use magnacore for wires cause the aluminum blocks need special heat resistant wires.

question 2 not sure someone else will have to answer

question 3 I would suggest online for new parts (OEM and aftermarket) alanticbritish.com is the most popular but there are many others like rovers north, british pacific, and roverland parts. Junkyards and people parting out vehicles (could try craigslist) are good for used parts.

question 4 heater shouldn't shut off, but someone else may want to chime in here

question 5 they broke off the 2 wheel drive/4 wheel drive shifter in England so your stuck like the rest of us with 13 MPG full time 4 wheel drive (just kidding cant change 4 wheel drive only CDL) search CDL on here if you have it or not.

question 6 not sure about the wires most likely a cd changer or power seats? maybe someone else will chime in on this one too.

1-whatever you want, but Iridium plugs work the best.
2-that is the stock tire size, you can go up to a 245/75/16 but no larger than that.
3-www.atlanticbritish.com, www.roverlandparts.com, www.autosportsunlimited.com, your local autoparts store will also carry Rover parts.
4-When you say the heater keeps turning off what do you mean? The fan stops working or there just is not heat?
5-Land Rovers are full time four wheel drive with a high and low range, there is NO two wheel drive mode.
6-Is your CD changer still under the passenger seat?

Ok, check your coolant level by opening the coolant expansion tank when the engine is cold.
There is a "X" in the bottom of the tank and the coolant should cover that "X".
Where is the needle on the temp gauge when you are driving the truck after 15 mins or so?
Is it in the middle of the gauge?

My guess is that it does this on the high setting. Your fan switch is going out. You can get a replacement on e-bay (used), or buy a new switch. Not sure if you can get just the switch, but the switch from the rear controls will work.

The cd changer goes under the pass. seat. Those are the wires for it. You can find one on ebay sometimes.

Learn how to use your shifter. Do not drive on dry pavement with the shifter to the left. That locks your driveshafts together and they will load up.

Do your heat seaters work?
Next time it stops blowing heat wiggle the fan switch.
Mine does that on "2", wiggle the switch and all is good.

First off: Welcome and Congrats on the ownership of your Rover!

Don't mean to sound like a pain in the a&&, but study the owner's manual AND/OR get a copy of the Rave CD. They will answer most of these questions.

I have had great luck with atlanticbritish for parts.

As far as plugs, wires, other maint. recomendations. See the "Sticky" on the forum for the 60k service. Many of us HIGHLY recomend following Mike's recomendations for performing these when buying any Discovery. Remember: Maintenance is KEY with these trucks!! Stay on top of it and these things will take you many, many places.

Where in Missouri are you. I'm in Springfield. If you are close I would be happy to help.
