Last night my girlfriend was driving my 2000 Disco due to the snowing weather, while she was driving and failed to notice the engine overheated. This was due to a radiator hose coming uncoupled, I easily fixed that this afternoon. However, after conducting a quick visual inspection of the engine compartment it looks as though another smaller tube to the rear of the coolant reservoir has broken also, not sure how. I am unsure of where to locate a replacement tube, does this need to be ordered online or is it something a local auto store would have in stock. I have included some pictures so you can get a look at the piece.

That's the vacuum hose to the cruise control actuator, not a coolant line. It's just a rubber hose.

 

OK, assuming I am not using cruise control would it be safe to drive for a few miles?

See if you can get some slack in the line and plug it back n

Just cut the end off of that vacuum hose and plug it back in. Easy.
