Default Overheating

Hi all,

There is a lot of info on overheating and not to beat a dead horse but....I have a 2003 d2 SE with about 160k miles. It just won't stop overheating.
I replaced the water pump as the bearing failed. It ran fine for a week or so but started overheating again. I drained and flushed the system and it didn't work. I then replaced the thermostat with a 180° but still nothing. I've replaced the radiator next and still overheating. I then replaced the thermostat again but nothing. Finally, I replaced the fan clutch and fan and again, still overheating. Heater and ac work fine.
I'm using zerex g05 for coolant and diluting to about 70%water.
I just ordered a new aux fan to see if that is it but I'm at a loss. I'm not losing coolant, there is no air in the system, and oil looks clean.
Any thoughts?

curious as to why you are diluting an already diluted antifreeze? ..not that this would really make a difference in your problem...

Still might be air in the system...did you fill/bleed from the tiny screw on top of hoses?

serp belt positioned correctly? it can actually be put on in wrong orientation..

How are you seeing that it’s overheating? Do you have any coolant loss or are your coolant hoses rock hard after getting up to temp?

I diluted my coolant because I got the concentrated form.

I know it's overheating because I have a scanner to track my temp a I drive. It will go about 2 miles before getting into the 200s

I did bled and fill from the top hole. I checked the belt diagram but it's worth checking again.

Hoses are solid at temp and extremely hot

What kind of 180 thermostat did you get, Inline or OEM. If OEM did it have a LR logo or after market ?

Maybe bypass the thermostat you have, or drill a couple holes in the old one to see if that chages anything. The "OEM" thermostats are notorious for being defective, truely OEM is the best bet, but I would bypass it all together at this point. eliinate that as your problem. If you still have the old one, drill some holes in it and see if that changes anything.

Low 200’s isn’t really overheating, perhaps not ideal but not overheating.

I'd be fine if it stayed there but it will keep rising. I've accidentally had it up to 250°
