Default Oxygen sensors for '04 Discovery 2 SE

Scanner indicates 02 sensor issues and engine service warning light comes on. I priced from local dealer front ($198 ea.) and rear sensors for $162 each. Mighty pricey.

Went to Amazon where Bosch sensors are listed for approx. $50 each. The ad says "this product fits your 2004 Land Rover Discovery".

What a big difference. Are these Bosch sensors just as good as from dealer?

I meant to say the upstream and downstream sensors not front and rear.

just make sure they are oem Land rover part numbers with the correct plugs. There are a lot of people selling univeral o2 that you have to make the plugs up on.they dont tend to work to well.

Dealers alway over charge for all their parts. Most good aftermarket 02's run in the $60 to $70 range and work just fine.

The Bosch sensors are OEM.

I think the part number for the front, upstream is 15175.

I think the amazon one for 50 is the front sensors. I couldn't find the rear and had to order from AB.

Got my front sensor from Amazon. Bosch with the correct plug.
For a 2001 DII.

Do not give Atlantic British money.
They over charge as it is.

Put money in your fireplace and burn it.
Almost the same as giving it to AB.

Who would you recommend we give our money to jfall?

I have always had great service from Atlantic British and anything i ordered from them showed up packed well and was shipped to me in ample time. I'm confused? If i burned my money i would get nothing and there would probably be some kind of rank *** smell from all da funk that is on money.

I agree. Good service. Packed well.
But, you PAY AB for it. A lot.

AB is better than the dealer - usually.

Sometimes I get even better deals even thru currency exchange at
Rimmer Brothers - Triumph Car Parts, MG Rover Car Parts, and Land Rover Car Parts and Spares

Or

Best prices on Land Rover & Range Rover parts and Accessories

AB prices are outrageous usually.

I just paid $950 to a local Seattle garage for getting two transmission hoses installed and a busing replaced.
I was away on business and in my absence the driver of the vechicle the venerable D1 had to have it fixed....

So, I am not so smart at times with money either.

I guess I will admit I am jealous AB is so successful.
I always give business to the underdogs if I can.

I've never had a problem with AB, their prices are moderate but gurenteeted to fit your rover. Customer service was always good and I've purchased $$$ of parts from them. O2 sensors from AB are about the same as amazon and reasonable in my opinion:

Land Rover Oxygen Sensor Replacement (Same Fit As Genuine Part # MHK100920) - Land Rover Oxygen Sensors

Land Rover Discovery II Oxygen Sensor (Same Fit As Genuine Part # MHK100930)

Always do your research before you buy, search locally, search various websites and forums and bookmark the most compeditive website retailers such as AB.
