Exclamation P-1590

First I'd like to say my cluster doesn't show test lights (as in they domt come on when i put in pos 2) on check engine abs TC and hdc failure. But I do have a reader and I had a miss fire (fixed today) and now I have p1590 its description was idle control. But from what I have read it is an abs problem. Just need some help dealer wants $120 just to diagnose it!

1590 is for your 3 amigos, the abs system is failing, it is not an idle control issue. How mechanical are you, do not take it to a dealer or he will empty your checking account.
If you want help with this, send me your number and lets talk.

I think it's awesome you like to help like you do, but I do have one issue with this method. I have come across countless threads on multiple forums and they all end like this. I'm glad the OP learns how to fix whatever you talk them through, but it's no help to others that just want to read a solution and do it on their own.

Would it be so hard to post solutions afterward or even give a brief explanation of what you are going to call and explain to them? I'm not trying to be an *** it just gets frustrating having to read through threads when I have an issue and 3/4 end with "pm me with your number and I'll talk you through it"?

I do agree with this. It would be nice for either the OP or Mike to post something that explains where it ended up. No pressure Mike, just agreeing with Madlands on how I also use threads. It is nice to have a solution at the end.

Also agree with Madlands 100%. There should be a disclaimer at the top of this forum stating "don't bother searching just pm your phone # to Disco Mike" .

I think that's all that was meant by madlands. Personally, I think it's awesome what Mike does. Not many people would be willing to go so far out of their way as he does. And, sometimes, there's no substitute to talking to someone using your voice. Follow-ups would be a great addition.

That is what I meant and I'm glad someone else could see what I was getting at.

I also agree mike does something I would not personally have the time to do and even though he can come off pretty harsh I believe he means well, just doesn't have the best wording for some.

Thanks ninjaff for saying you'll do a final write up on whatever you end up doing to fix your issue. Sorry to thread jack I've just been thread searching for a problem I've had for months and they all come up ending with no answer or with a phone call to mike.
