Default P0130 code

I have the P01030 code.

This is on a 2003 D2 left hand drive. I replaced upstream (before cat. converter) on the drivers side. The code cleared for a few weeks but now it's back. I've cleared it but keeps coming back. Any ideas?

Thanks,

I used my scan tool to show live data. All other O2 sensors are showing data but the bank 1 upstream is showing nothing.

I would like to test the wiring with a multi-meter.

Can someone let me know which wires need to be tested for voltage and which for ground.

thanks,

Ken

Do you have the two electrical systems PDFs, Electrical Circuits and Electrical Library? If not, you can search online for them. I found them last week. They have been immensely helpful to me through the years. Let me know if you cannot find them.

You might also try swapping your upstream O2 sensors side to side. If the problem moves to the other side you know it's the sensor. If it stays in place you know it's a wiring problem.

I went ahead and got a new sensor. The swapping the sensors is a good idea but I don't want to start and issue with the right side.

I'm now getting code P0132.

The live data I'm getting gives me two readings.

% for Short Term Fuel Trim. (This reading is at zero while I get readings from the other O2 sensors.)

Voltage. This reading is also not right. It is constant at 1.125 vs where it is supposed to go between 0 and 1 volt.

Any thoughts.

Thanks,

I'm working two different threads on this.

The other thread is asking me to Reset the Adaptive Values. I researched this and I found a Discovery Forum where they used a Hawkeye to perform this.

I wanted to see if I can borrow it. I could come to your work tomorrow pick it up and bring it back the same day.

Also, my name is Ken Hyde and my number is 704-968-5732.

Thanks,

Ken

Hey Ken. Resetting adaptive values will do nothing if the ECM is not getting any input from that O2 sensor. I'm happy to stop by after work tomorrow to try to help you work through this. Please send me another PM with your phone number so we can communicate off the forum. Thanks.
