P0335 discussion
Hi all,
as my last post mentioned, I recently did head gasket job. While I was in there I replaced a bunch of parts. Front Cover, ignition coils...etc most important to this next story is the timing chain kit. New gears / chain.
All has been well so far, minus a oil leak, until my drive home yesterday. The car completely died, flashing M and S and (D) on the gear selector, where the mileage shows. Pulled over, turned off, turned back on got home. Code P0335 thrown so I investigated a bit and found that maybe it's a bad CKPS due to oil getting on the connector, but I'm also questioning if the "AllMakes4x4" timing kit was worthless and messed up my timing slightly?
Either way the car is parked right now until I get my new CKPS in. Just wanted to have a discussion to what might be causing this or if anyone has had the issue with bad timing = ckps code thrown.
