Default p1590????

hooked up my techforct to my rover and got out a code p1590 the description in alldata is the slabs ecu is sending an error message Hardware OK ....i had a bad wheel speed sensor and replaced it yesterday. The abs has since stoped activating when taking off. A big relief but the ABS DHD And the TC light have stayed on. Does this system need to go through a learning cycle for the light's to go off or is there still a problem???

Thank you all Jason

Those lights must be turned off by an appropriate scanner like a test book or AutoLogic, they won't go off on their own.

Hi,

I bought a 1999 Discovery II with 101,000 miles .I have the same problem P1590 except the warning lights had the bulbs removed when I bought the truck .I get the3 chimes when I turn the truck off. I was going tohave the brake system powerflushed but does this mean after that is still done I may still have this code untill someone resets it ? I have a engine scanner and can clear engine codes but this may not work for this code ? The ABS modulator has a rebuilt sticker on it from 2005 so hopefuuly that is not the problem. I would like to get this fixed without taking it in to the dealer. Any help would be appreciated. Ken

As Disco Mike stated ---body/suspension/braking system related codes cannot be cleared without hooking up to a Autologic/Rovacomm or equiv. high-end scanner. Typically these are only found at the dealer or at a well equipped Land Rover specialist shop.

Thank you,

If I take the gauge cluster out and replace the missing bulbs and the ABS is fixed will I still have the 3 lights displayed ? Is there a way to see if it is fixed but only needs the computer reset ?

Bottom line, you have to scan the brake system, made the repairs and then reset the lights.
