Painting Fendor Flares, not going well
Well I painted the front flare and it turned out like sh&*, Ihave seen orange peels smoother than what this turned out??? Did I prep wrong? I gave them a light sanding with a 120 grit paper to smooth them out but it is pitting like crazy, used Krylon Fusion???

remember light coats! its better to do three light ones then one heavy one. and you sanded them, but how did you clean them afterwards? mild soap and water and let dry?? its all in the prep work. also, how cold is it where you are painting them??

try warming up the garage, but be careful of flames and the spray paint fumes!! also try sanding everything down again, cleaning them, and getting a primer that will work with the paint you are using. lightly sand the primer after it dries, clean, then use the paint. its amazing what a coat of primer will do!! oh, and start your paint run before you get to the piece you are painting and don't stop til after you are past the piece, nice long even paint strokes...make sense?
