Default Panel or Glass?

I won't go into the full story tonight (too tired, windshield rock is not my friend), but thought I'd pose this question for everyone's consideration...

Should I replace the windows on both sides with a seamless aluminum panel or purchase a new quarter panel and window? I'm thinking the panel will provide me with more privacy in the back for both gear and when I sleep/change back there and would certainly be cheaper. The window would help retain resale value, though I have no plans to get rid of the Disco anytime soon.

For now I'm sporting the super pimp trash bag/duct tape window. Ghetto fabulous Land Rover......

go with glass, if you are worried about privacy, just tint them real dark. At least you can still see out of them....

Well it comes standard with privacy glass which is moderately tinted. Tinting them further wouldn't be much $$$ at all. After checking out the prices at the link Mike provided above and getting a couple quotes I'm going to just replace the panel and glass. After all, getting rid of two windows doesn't make the truck any more secure considering it has 10 others (counting sun roofs). Thanks for the input!

That sounds about right... I've seen cheaper, it definitely helps to shop around.

Just got my first quote for the repair... $1100 for labor (no parts). The plastic bag is looking very attractive.

You can cut a piece of plexi glass to fit and use some good glue. Clamp it and let it sit overnight.
