Default Panther Edition
I am looking at buying a 1997 discovery that is a panther edition. I was just wondering if anyone knew what that meant.

No this is a local truck. The panther edition is stiched in the head rests and the panther is on the side of the truck. I have googled it non stop, I'm not getting anything.

4.0 SE Panther Edition: All were based on the 4.0 SE and had a leather interior with contrasting piping on the seats and armrests (and unlike other models with leather and piping) with the words “Panther Edition” is sewn in the front seats below a crest with the outline of a panther and square panther edition badging on fenders above the signal lights. Approx. 500 Panther Editions were sold
That's for a Panther Edition Range Rover..

That quote matches the exact interior of the discovery that I'm looking at; however, I wonder why it would have something that is for a Range rover! This is interesting

Its probably just a limited edition package for Land Rovers. One of the many limited runs that came out (Callaway edition, Vitesse edition, Vogue edition, etc). It makes it unique, and pricey
