Default PARK BRAKE QUESTIONS

I recently purchased my first LR specificallya Disco II and I have a question regarding the park brake. There isnt much tension when pulling the lever and my warning light is always on, is this normal for the brake lever and what can cause the brake light to come on. Brake fluid level checks out ok.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You may need to get the brake switch for your e-brake adjusted.

also, your park brake acts on the rear driveshaft. It is the drum at the front of the shaft.....so you know.

I didn't know mush about park brakes. That's the rarest among my brake parts that I touch... What I'm familiar with is the VW brake hose since I had that problem once withmy old car

Also just to clear up one thing, if you have the truck off the road with the t/case locked up, the e-brake will also lock up the front wheels.
