mollusk, I never implied that the rear wheels were on the ground, I specifically said that its on a lift as in the rear wheels are off the ground (actually just the rear on jack stands but I wanted to be clear that it was off the ground and that's why i said lift) and in the second or third post I even said why I want to make sure is for when I lower the rear back down and jack up the front I want to make sure that the rear is locked in place in park and E brake. so yeah I think I know what I was talking about, apparently you still don't

You just said that you want to lower the back down and jack up the front. How is that not implying that the rear is on the ground??

ttr55 is dead on with the scenario and what it does, exactly the same conclusion I came up with after some research, which I was hoping to avoid by posting here and getting that type of response which would have been quicker than all the searching on the internet

FBC14, yes you did. Maybe not at the very start, but later you did. So you can't say NEVER.
Being on a lift/stands is a different situation from having the rear on the ground. As we have slowly extracted your actual question from you, it is clear that the rear wheels will behave differently in each case.

no you are apparently confused , I said on my very first post that it is on a lift and that common sense should tell you if I'm saying parking break that I'm talking about the rear wheels

You first said it was on a lift. Later you said you wanted to lower the rear wheels. It's right there in the thread if you have forgotten.
All the info needed was NOT in the first post. You didn't mention wanting to lower it until later.

Parking brakes don't necessarily only work on the rear wheels.
