Parking Sensor Intermittent Failure?
I've had my '04 Discovery for about 3 weeks now, and today I noticed that the parking sensors are starting to only work intermittently. I was reversing toward a car in my parking garage and the beeping of the parking sensors suddenly stopped. I turned the sensors off and then on again, and the beeping resumed like it should. I was in reverse the entire time, and at no point was I far enough away from the car behind me that the sensors *should* have stopped beeping. At least I realized it in time!
It seems like there must be a loose connection somewhere, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Any ideas?

It's actually a kit that can be added to 03 and 04. (if they didn't come standard).
Rover Connection-Land Discovery Freelander Park Distance Control
I'd look at the switch, it looks just like all the other switches that go in the gauge visor, and the other switches go bad sometimes it seems. I'm not speaking from experience. My disco doesn't have this feature. This is arm-chair advice...
EDIT: keep reading.... there are people with actual hands on experience posting now.

I have a 2003 HSE. That has Park Distance Control. Go feel under the bumper for the plugs that plug in to the distance sensors. They can come loose easily. Especially the two outer ones. Mine have been pulled out by offroading a few times. Add some dielectric grease to each one for a good connection. The switch on the the dash will turn the system on and off.

Thanks for the advice. I've gone over some pretty bad bumps over the past few days, it's entirely possible something got shaken loose.
Park Distance Control is a non-standard feature on the SE, I was lucky enough to find one that had it. The only thing I'm missing is Self-Leveling Suspension :/
