anybody know the spicer u-joint # for the double cardon? gonna try and re-build mine this week-end.

Also, recommendations on grease please. Thanks.

Either of those you should be able to find at your local auto parts store.
If you are pushing 80,000 miles or more on your truck also buy a centering ball kit from the same manufacture as the u-joints.
Also, pull the plug from the slip shaft on each drive shaft, insert a grease fitting and lube the hell out of them, then reinstall the plug.

Thanks guys. Went to autozone and they have the Neapcou-joints ($15 ea.[sm=smiley17.gif]), but they couldn't find the centering ball kit. any #'s on that?

I am cuurently having he Napco joints installed. Had a reallly hard time finding the centering ball kit. Took the drive shafts out and to a driveline shop. they could not find the Spicer compatable #'s and I went with the Napco's because a call to Spicer left them with no answers. I tried all the local parts stores for the joints and kit but had no luck.

I could not find what I needed at the chain stores( napa, auto zone, pep boys etc...)and the driveline shop steered me away from Precision joints

This is how my invoice listed parts.

Neapco NE1-0005 1300 U joint $23 each x3
Spicer SP5-4X 1300 series U joint $35 x1
RF404-0A CV ball kit$36 x 1
labor $60
