Parting out Land Rover
I was in a major accident in my 94 Disco I on Thursday. I rear ended an 18-wheeler who was stopped in the left lane of a highway. I hit him running about 60 mph. Anyway, the Disco is totalled and of course I only had liability insurance on it. I live just north of Ft. Worth Texas and will be picking it up from the salvage yard today or tomorrow. I'll take the truck to my dads place in Decatur Texas, which is about 30 min north of Ft. Worth. If anyone is interested in pulling parts off of it PM me so we can set up a time to meet. The majority of the damage is on the front drivers side. I'm sure there are some good salvagable parts.

Thanks for the concern. I'm fine, but more importantly my 4 month old son who was with me is fine too. The disco protected us great. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do for a vehicle. I loved the Disco and I got such a great deal on it. If I can find one in as good of shape as the one I wrecked and the price is right I wouldn't hesitate buying it. I'll post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to get them off of my new cell phone I'm still trying to figure out.

I'll get some picks up soon. I was very impressed on how it held up. The cab of the truck stayed intact. All of the damage is on the front. I was able to swerve enough to hit the back of the 18-wheeler on the drivers side of the disco. It spun me around then flipped on the drivers side. It was a wild rodeo for sure.

Glad to hear you and your son are ok. Just proves that the Rovers are very safe vehicles.
Don't know where you're located but if you are near Denver I recommend talking to Rick at McCoy Motor Company about a replacement Disco. That is where I bought my 97 LSE for $3700. He consistently has better trucks at better prices than any other dealer in the Denver area. If you're interested PM me and I'll get you the number.

You could find a Disco that needs a trans or diff and refit it from yours.
Some Disco's that need work go for about 1k to 1.5k
you would need to look for a 95 or older.
Check the Rover Club in DFW http://www.texasrovers.org/
