Default PCV system burning lots of oil

Fresh rebuild on 03 4.6L and burning oil at 1/2 quart per gas up. Thinking it's drawing thru pcv port as I see oil in intake runners. All new hoses and oil separator as shown. Is this possible? Other ideas. Frustrated.

Is there oil all over the separator? My guess is since the valve looks clean, it's leaking through valve seals

I see the oil before the heads in the intake manifold or is that normal to see that amount of oil in the manifold? All wet on the plenum gasket too

Which valve cover is it in? Should be pass side. Make sure the driver side tube to the throttle body is clear. With the engine idling put a latex glove or balloon over the oil fill tube, engine should have slight vacuum pulling glove in, not pressure.

Since it is fresh rebuild, only idea is maybe rings were installed incorrectly?

The vacuum in the intake will pull air and whatever else is in the intake between cylinders. It's possible the oil is coming from the crank ventilation system, but I'm leaning towards bad valve seals.

If the oil control ring wasn't installed or seated properly, the truck wouldn't run well, and would smoke like crazy.

Fairly certain rings are installed correctly and hone job good. Heads redone including new valve guides and seals. Trying to think of the obvious causes before assuming a failure of a new part which is possible but unlikely.

Keep the ideas coming
