Default Pedal feel diagnosis

My next project is to improve the pedal feel on my 2001. Im fairly used to blake ystem bleeding etc, what I'm after here is experience on the interplay between the booster and the master cylinder.

What im experiencing is longer than normal pedal travel when i first start the car, until I pump it a few times. I also feel like when i have it pumped and I sit hard on the pedal that it feels likeits going down ever sp slightly. The pedal is not stiff or hard to move.

From what I read /understand that points to the master cylinder, not the booster, am I correct? If liketo void replacing both, if not needed.

It's the same on my 2001. The brakes are spongy AF no matter how much I bleed, power bleed, modulator bleed, or hyper bleed (I made that one up). The booster just wears out after time.
I've got a new booster and master cylinder to replace but I have to get off of my LAZY @ss and install it. lol

You can lightly adjust the nut inside the booster which contacts the MC bore. Tiny adjustment = big difference. You DO NOT want to go to much or the brakes will stay engaged. I'd mark the threads, adjust it, test it, and go back if needed. I've noticed I have had to tinker with that with aftermarket MC's more vs OEM.
