Penzoil Platinum or Mobile 1?

actually I do know what I am talking about, I have over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry as well as rebuilding many many engines, and you can tell immediately which ones have used penzoil. So why you may love the propaganda that big company's pay others to put out for them, I go by facts of what I see and can prove not what I can read online or see in a magazine or tv advertisement.

As for the Penzoil comments, I have done wear and oxidation tests on the conventional oil and it did terrible. Quaker State held up the best on conventional oil. I have not tested the Penzoil sythetic, but the Mobile 1 Synthetic is a good oil.
All of that said, I have RP in everything.

Because not all motor oils are created equal your engines seals get used to one type of oil, when you switch to another type of oil your seals will then soak up the new stuff.
Not a big deal except that you can have increased oil consumption, you wont be burning it or leaking it but as it soaks into the seals your oil level can drop.
What is important about picking a brand and type of motor oil is that you can always get it when you need it.
I cant get Rotella 5w-40, but M1 15w-50 is a piece of cake.
I have used M1 15w-50 in the summer and M1 5w-30 in the winter for over 30k now with no problems.
I bought 10 qts of Pennzoil Platinum when it was on sale at Wal-Mart and I am going to try that for a while.
IMO any of the major brand oils and just fine.
But just for s hits and giggles here are a couple of web sites to read though.
